Overview

LionCity Hospitality is running a few hostels in Singapore and aiming to create a homie environment so all backpackers over the world could come and enjoy. Every guest can be treated as a family member, enjoy the conversation, learn and share with each other. They are very kind and talk to guests to understand their problems to tackle what is needed in the industry. This is how they make a difference.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation of their hostels has been changed due to some restrictions and safety issues. However, LionCity Hospitality is still working hard to make sure their guests always feel at home regardless of changes.

Challenges

During COVID-19 pandemic, City Backpackers used to have 66 beds but had to be cut down to 33 beds and 50% of beds were cut off due to some applied restriction. There was definitely an impact in their business. They currently only welcome foreigners, work permit workers and some local guests at the moment. However, LionCity Hospitality still want to make sure their guests always feel at home regardless of those changes.

They got introduced by an AirHost staff member about the information that AirHost has a support promotion for SME Hospitality business during the pandemic. They thought it was a good occasion for them to try out AirHost’s product.

LionCity Hospitality uses AirHost Hospitality Management System (HMS) product for their hostel management solution.

Results

By using AirHost PMS system, LionCity Hospitality manages all the properties just in one place. Many useful functions helped their operation staff save time from their manual work such as room assignment, invoicing etc. These all lead to less operation mistake, better hostel management and better guest reviews in the end.
